Fudokan Budo-Taijutsu

    A martial art which stresses the fundamentals of the true combat arts of ancient Japan.  We focus on the basics to the point of mastery before the student is allowed to test for rank.  We teach the Ninja and Samurai arts.  Our cirriculum comes from the ancient Ryu-Ha of:

* Gyokko Ryu Kosshijutsu (Jeweled Tiger School of muscle & nerve attacks), 1st Taijutsu art Taught to Togakure Ninja.

* Koto Ryu Koppojutsu (Tiger knocking down School of bone breaking), 2nd of the Taijutsu arts taught to Togakure Ninja.

* Kukishinden Ryu Happo-Bikenjutsu (9 Demons school of secret sword techniques), long weapon school.

* Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu (Hidden Door school of Ninja martial arts), the longest surviving complete ninja school.

* Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutjaijutsu (High Tree, Raised Heart School of grappling), once a bodygaurd school.

 

There are 5 kyu levels and 10 Dan levels:

 

Mukyu - White belt (no rank)

Gokyu - 5th Kyu Red Belt

Yohnkyu - 4th Kyu Red Belt 1 stripe

Sankyu - 3rd Kyu Red Belt 2 stripes

Nikkyu - 2nd Kyu Red Belt 3 stripes

Ikkyu - 1st Kyu  4 stripes

 

Shodan - 1st Degree Black Belt

Nidan - 2nd Degree Black Belt

Sandan - 3rd Degree Black Belt / Sensei

Yohndan - 4th Degree Black Belt / Sensei

Godan - 5th Degree Black Belt / Sensei

Rokkudan - 6th Degree Black Belt / Sensei

Nanadan - 7th Degree / Shihan

Hatchidan - 8th Degree / Shihan

Kudan - 9th Degree / Shihan

Judan - 10th Degree / Shihan
